This was previously the 30 before 30:
Today is Wednesday, 17 July 2013.
By January 2016 I am going to set out to achieve what I have decided to be 30 life-enhancing goals. The reason for this venture is partially because I am drawn to the accountability that a goal such as this provides. My secondary motivation stems from the idea of slowing down time:
"If you want time to slow down, become a student again. Learn something that requires sustained effort; do something novel. Put down the thriller when you're sitting on the beach and break out a book on evolutionary theory or Spanish for beginners or a how-to book on something you've always wanted to do. Take a new route to work; vacation at an unknown spot. And take your sweet time about it."--Richard A. Friedman
And, it's true, I achieved many notable goals before my 30th birthday, including many on this list. But, I have also experienced many changes in the last 2.5 years, and my priorities have shifted as a result. This is why I have decided to extend my list - with a number of revisions and additions - and to lengthen my timeline. Let's see how I do with the 34 by 34!
